What we Do

Refuge Accommodation

We provide a safe place to stay for women and women with their children. Our refuge accommodation can support up to 23 families, while we work with you to come to terms with your experiences, and plan your future.

Outreach Services

This is a free service for women, men, children and young people (aged 4 – 17) who need our help. You can self-refer and will be supported by us. We will listen, provide you with information, and give you continued support as you make your own choices about the next steps.

Our Programmes

We offer a range of therapeutic and educational services that are designed to help you grow your confidence and self-esteem, and which also offer an opportunity to meet others who have had similar experiences.

Safeguarding

Finding Freedom from Abuse (FFFA) is a registered charity (no. 1003275) committed to helping survivors of domestic and sexual abuse move forward with their lives. It provides a range of services including:

  • Refuge accommodation for women and their children
  • Outreach services for women, men, children and young people (aged 4-17)
  • Therapeutic and educational programmes

Safeguarding for children, young people and adults at risk is core to the provision of FFFA’s services.

The designated safeguarding lead for the charity is the Chief Executive and there is a named lead trustee for safeguarding.

FFFA has safeguarding policies for children and young people and adults at risk that are reviewed at least annually by staff (led by the designated safeguarding lead) and trustees. All staff and services users have access to policies and procedures and are aware of how to raise concerns, either with the designated safeguarding lead or the lead trustee.

Any concerns regarding safeguarding should be submitted to the designated safeguarding lead at refugesafeguarding@findingfreedom.org.uk

Professional Referrals

Our services are available across the Test Valley region. You can submit a referral to our refuge or outreach services via this link.

If your client is in Hampshire but is not within the Test Valley area, please refer them to Stop Domestic Abuse.
